The Federal Tax Credits Have Ended
The Inflation Reduction Act credits that used to stack on top of Mass Save rebates were repealed by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. For work done in 2026 there is no federal credit to add — Massachusetts programmes are the whole picture now.
Example: Heat Pump in 2026
Through 31 December 2025 the federal credit took a further $600 off this example. Income-qualified households can still reach a much lower figure — up to $16,000 of a heat pump is covered.
