Requirements for Landlords

    Residential rental property in a participating utility's service territory

  • Tenants must be utility customers

    Either tenants pay utilities directly, or you have a commercial account

  • Use approved contractors

    Major rebates require installation by Mass Save approved contractors

  • Pre-approval recommended

    Apply for rebates before starting work to ensure eligibility

You'll receive a detailed report with recommended upgrades, estimated costs, available rebates, and projected energy savings.

Get Quotes from Approved Contractors

Mass Save can connect you with approved contractors, or you can find your own from their approved list.

Apply for Rebates and Financing

Submit your rebate application and HEAT Loan application (if needed) before starting work.

Complete the Work and Collect Rebates

After installation, submit final documentation. Rebates typically arrive within 6-8 weeks.
